This guide provides an evidence-based approach to help clinicians in screening and assessing functional abilities for driving, and provides guidance on clinical interventions, driver rehabilitations, how to advise the older adult about transitioning away from driving. It also discusses ethical and legal issues, state licensing and reporting laws, and provides appendices that provide clinician, patient, and caregiver resources, including assessment tools.
