European Conference on Interprofessional Practice and Education

The 8th European Conference on Interprofessional Practice & Education in Health & Social Care is organized in Bochum (Germany) from 6 to 8 September 2023. Geriatric ECHO: Building Resilience for Dementia Caregivers during the COVID-19 Pandemic

This presentation (51:32 minutes) by Sara Tompkison discusses dementia caregivers. By the end of the presentation, learners should be able to: (1) describe two or more factors that impact the biopsychosocial well-being of dementia caregivers during the pandemic; (2) define the attributes and/or benefits of resilience for dementia caregivers; (3) explain the health care providers role in assessment of caregiver burden for dementia caregivers; and (4) identify three interventions that health care providers can implement to build and empower dementia caregiver resilience.
