The design of interprofessional education activities benefits from the use of formal education frameworks. This 45 minute module has been prepared by a team of academic and clinical staff, to share our learnings from the design and delivery of an interprofessional medicine, nursing and pharmacy education program. In this module the Lee et al. (2013) four-dimensional curriculum framework was used to assist educators in the implementation and analysis of an interprofessional education programs, making explicit the why, the what, the how and the where.

This web-based tool kit guides a faculty team through the steps to develop, implement, and evaluate interprofessional education experiences in the clinical setting. The toolkit includes concrete and specific instructions as well as checklists and worksheets to guide a faculty team through the process, including the use of our observational tool for team skills, DOTI (Direct Observation of Team Interactions). The components include clinical site readiness, student readiness, on-site curriculum, faculty training, specifics on DOTI, and evaluation.

This interactive questionnaire from the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) is designed to be taken by older adults. The questionnaire asks questions about driving safety that you can answer for yourself or for someone else. Suggestions are provided based on the answers.

This website from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center provides resources for completing a comprehensive geriatric assessment. Two videos are included: Administering the Timed Up and Go (TUG) and Administering the MiniCog. Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment is an evidenced-based, multidimensional evaluation that geriatricians and other health care providers use to determine functional age in older adults, guide future diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, determine reversible deficits and devise strategies to mitigate or eliminate such deficits.

This booklet by the National Institute of Aging discusses how older adults can get a good night's sleep. Topics include: 1) what happens during sleep; 2) the importance of sleep; 3) how aging changes your sleep; 4) ways to improve your sleep; and 5) types of sleep problems.

The Minnesota Northstar Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program shares this resource page for preceptors and clinicians working with health professional trainees in clinical settings. There is a collection of general preceptor resources and a collection of GeriPreceptor Tipsheets for teaching specific geriatric topics.

This Growing Stronger Program toolkit aims to: 1) provide the necessary educational materials and training to program leaders to help them successfully implement and maintain the Growing Stronger Program; 2) facilitate the implementation of the program in community centers, local health and fitness facilities, hospitals and clinics, cooperative extension services, businesses, and any other place where older adults come together; and 3) improve the health and well-being of older adults throughout the U.S.

The Stanford Internet-based Successful Aging (iSAGE) project is a project aimed at improving quality of life and quality of care for all older Americans from diverse backgrounds. iSAGE offers an entirely web-based, video rich immersion training in the principles of successful aging for the general public as well as health workers. It is unique in that it allows learners to specialize in health and health care of 13 different ethno-cultural groups commonly seen in the U.S. The web page also links to a searchable enthogeriatrics reference database with 1000+ resources.
