The Interprofessional Education Assessment and Planning Instrument for Academic Institutions was designed to do the following: 1) assist institutions in gauging where they are in development of Interprofessional Prevention Education and 2) assist institutions wishing to further advance Interprofessional Education with an emphasis on prevention.

This tool will allow institutions to asses where they are in the development of IPE on their campuses.

The TeamSTEPPS Teamwork Perceptions Questionnaire (T-TPQ) was developed to assess health professionals' perceptions of interprofessional teamwork within an organization and group-level team skills and behavior.

T-TAQ is used to measure how individuals approach team related issues. The TeamSTEPPS Teamwork Attitudes Questionnaire (T-TAQ) was developed to assess the impact of interprofessional education on health professionals' attitudes, knowledge, and team skills.

Performance Assessment for Communication and Teamwork Tool Set was developed to assess performance on team work and communication in simulated scenarios.

The Performance Assessment for Communication and Teamwork Tool Set (PACT) was developed to assess teamwork and communication performance in simulated environments.

The Health Care Quality Information from the Consumer Perspective (HCAHPS, pronounced "H-caps"), also known as the CAHPS Hospital Survey, is a survey instrument and data collection methodology for measuring patients' perceptions of their hospital experience.

CAHPS surveys focus on aspects of care that meet two criteria:

The Survey of Organizational Attributes of Primary Care (SOAPC) was developed to assess health care professionals' perceptions of the organizational resources for change required in primary care settings and measures organizational attributes of practice teams as providers of quality of care.

The Team Climate Inventory (TCI) was developed to measure team function. This tool can be used to measure proximal work group climate and team members' perceptions of climatic dimensions in organizational climate surveys, team building and development, selection of new members into groups, and group development over time.

The Team Climate Inventory  is a 38-item tool using both a  5 and 7 point scale. The tool is used to measure  team function. It has 4 subscales: vision, participative safety, task orientation, and support for innovation.

The Relational Coordination Scale (RCS) measures the quality of communication and relationships in bounded and unbounded teams. A mutually reinforcing process of communication (frequent, timely, accurate, and problem-solving) and relationships (shared goals, shared knowledge, and mutual respect) characterize the strength of coordination ties amongst interdependent team members.

The Observational Teamwork Assessment for Surgery (OTAS) was developed to measure the quality of teamwork and interactions in the operating theatre. The tool assesses teamwork-related task checklists and teamwork-related behaviors.  It can be used to provide a way to benchmark good teamwork skills and to guide formative feedback and debriefing in clinical practice.

The Collaboration and Satisfaction About Care Decisions (CSACD) was developed to assess quality of interaction in making care decisions and satisfaction with the decision making process in the health setting.

The  Collaboration and Satisfaction About Care Decisions tool is a 9 item tool on a 7 point scale used to assess quality of interaction in making care decisions and satisfaction with the decision making process in the health setting. It has two subscales: collaboration and satisfaction.

The Emergency Medicine Crisis Resource Management tool (EMCRM) was developed as a participant questionnaire to evaluate the effects of a simulation-based crisis management course for emergency medicine on health providers’ attitudes and behaviors.  It was used to assess health professionals' perception of the course, Emergency Medicine Crisis Resource Management (EMCRM).

The Emergency Medicine (EMCRM) is a 10-item tool with a 5-point scale that is used to assess health professionals' perception of EMCRM learning.
