Dr. Sheingold is Founding Faculty for GW's School of Nursing and serves as the Director of the Healthcare Quality Graduate Programs and Assistant Professor. She was previously an intern in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning & Evaluation (ASPE) in Washington, DC, and Senior Quality Project Manager for the Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic Region.
Dr. Sheingold received the GW Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau Research Award in 2013 & 2014 for her work on identifying Best Practices in Nurse-led Patient Centered Medical Homes and the GW Honor Society Excellence in Research Award in 2009 and for her work on measuring social capital in the nursing workforce. In 2012, she was inducted as a Fellow and Distinguished Scholar in the National Academies of Practice and in 2016 became a Cross-Disciplinary Fellow at George Washington University.
