Today the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation shared the story of 16 nursing schools, working with the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education, to develop new community-based clinical programs for their graduate and advanced practice nursing students to learn to work in interprofessional teams.

Lexington, KY—Dr. Barbara Brandt, PhD, EdM, was recently inducted as the newest Honorary Member of the National Academies of Practice (NAP) during a banquet ceremony at the 2018 Annual Meeting and Forum.
At the National Center, we are amazed by the growing number of U.S. inter-organizational IPE collaborations and networks across universities, colleges, health systems and state governments committed to connecting interprofessional education and practice.
On March 28, attendees from seven teams across the country gathered in Phoenix, AZ to attend the CAIPER Interprofessional By Design: What You Need to Know to Advance Team-Based Care and ROI: Integrated Care and Care Coordination workshop, a partnership between the National Center and ASU Center for Advancing Interprofessional Practice, Education, and Research (CAIPER).
The Macy Foundation highlights a new Academic Medicine supplement, experts explore what it will take to transition to an education system in which students advance at their own pace, as they master a set of specific concepts and skills.
