Abstract:

The evolution of virtual teaching during the pandemic has revolutionized health professional education, creating a decade of change within the span of a week. (Langlois, 2020, Lackie et al., 2020). At the Centre for Advancing Collaborative Healthcare and Education (formerly named the Centre for Interprofessional Education), curriculum and pedagogy pivoted to virtual delivery to serve the needs of stakeholders/organizations.

Improving the Process with PDSA: Addressing Social Engagement

Minnesota End-of-Life Option Act: Medical Aid in Dying is a Compassionate Option for Terminally Ill Patients

The Minnesota End-of-Life Option Act was reintroduced to the MN state legislature in early 2021 and was modeled after the 1994 Oregon Death with Dignity Act. This webinar (1:32:56 minutes) is the first part of a two-part series representing both sides of the issues related to this bill.

Preventing Dementia Behaviors Part II

Topics discussed include: (1) a brief review of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and practical approaches (connect in 3 ways, ABC approach, 3 P's, and have a 'bag of tricks'); (2) addressing emotional needs; (3) addressing joy; (4) discuss challenging scenarios; and (5) preventing burn-out. Surgical Considerations in the Elderly

This presentation (1:05:07 minutes) by Arun Raman discusses surgical considerations with the elderly.
