On March 28, 2018 Barbara Brandt and Erin Fraher presented the closing keynote at the Rhode Island Collaborative for Interprofessional Education and Practice's Spring 2018 Symposium. Their keynote included a deep dive into new "old school/new school" thinking about connecting new models of workforce planning, interprofessional education, and collaborative practice.
Dr. Barbara Brandt is Director of the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education and Associate Vice President in the University of Minnesota's Academic Health Center.

On July 12, 2017, Barbara Brandt presented the roll-out of the National Center's comprehensive education and training portfolio, developed through key organizational partnerships and in response to the pressing needs we are seeing in IPE today.
Dr. Barbara F. Brandt and Dr. Susan M. Meyer presented and led a facilitated workshop with attendees from University of Texas Houston at UTHealth Advances in Teaching and Learning Day on June 9, 2017.
Barbara Brandt presented the keynote address at the IPEC Spring Institute, Interprofessional Education: Building a Framework for Collaboration on Wednesday, May 3, 2017.
Brandt's presentation, "Interprofessional Practice and Education: So where are we now?" provides a contextual view of the National Center's values and role as an "unbiased, neutral convener" and the environmental and practical lessons learned that situate the National Center's critical success factors for IPE.
