This video for healthcare professionals provides an overview of patients with delirium in long-term care settings. Information on assessing atypical symptoms of delirium is provided, including the CAM Diagnostics Delirium Algorithm, and UB-2, UB CAM screening tools. The importance of prevention is emphasized and some approaches given which can also help prevent falls. Treatment options are also presented, with an emphasis on the 4Ms and non-drug interventions. Delirium in Dementia is also discussed.
