Online modules: Available to all health professionals and community-based organizations, these modules developed by CATCH-ON educate about normal aging, managing multiple chronic conditions, dementia and working with interprofessional geriatric health care teams as well as the 4Ms of an Age-Friendly Health System (What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility). A version of these modules, aimed at older adults and their families, is available in English and Spanish.

This teaching strategy from the National League of Nursing's Advancing Care Excellence for Caregivers series uses a case study approach to engage students to think through a complex situation involving an older adult who is starting to decline and a concerned family member who is becoming a caregiver. The use of technology to assist the aging adult to live safely at home, commonly referred to as aging in place, is emphasized. Learning objectives, learner pre-work, and suggested learning activities and readings are included. Files are downloadable/printable.

OHNEP's new Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Interprofessional Oral Health Clinical Experience Guide brings students from different health professions together for a team-building clinical rotation where they learn to more effectively provide whole-person care for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This guide is a model used by NYU College of Dentistry and NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing for Dental (DDS) Students and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) students.

NLN's Advancing Care Excellence Series (ACE) initiative includes programs with free curricular resources that focus on improving care for vulnerable and underserved populations. We encourage faculty and educators to incorporate these strategies into their curricula and build awareness of the importance of inteprofessional care and oral health in primary and acute care settings.

This resource is an interactive 3-hour didactic and skills practice workshop designed to train faculty to conduct a peer-teaching observation and provide feedback focused on interprofessional teaching. The didactic portion of the workshop focuses on the ways that interprofessional teaching differs from uniprofessional teaching, discusses elements of effective feedback, and reviews the critical steps of a peer-teaching observation.
