Smiles for Life has developed materials to help educators implement the curriculum into an academic setting. Each of the eight 45 minute presentations can be downloaded, complete with annotated presenter notes, companion videos, PDFs of the Implementation Guide, ACGME formatted Educational Objectives, Test Questions, and a listing of high quality Resources designed to serve as a base for oral health training. Course 8 is specific to Geriatric Oral Health. It is required to register a free account to access the curriculum.

This online course from the Home Centered Care Institute presents a model for treating patients with four of the more common chronic diseases found in the home-based primary care (HBPC) patient population: diabetes, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and chronic kidney disease. Medication management and challenges faced by caregivers are also discussed. This course is intended for primary care providers working with homebound patients with multiple chronic diseases. Estimated time to complete module is 30 minutes. The course is free to access through 2020.

This online training series on Family Involvement in Dementia Care was created by the Iowa Geriatric Education Center to help family caregivers develop the skills to act as partners in dementia care for their loved ones. Modules include videos, family interviews, hand-outs, and break-out discussions that teaches family members how to work as partners with staff in both community and long-term care settings. The ten-part series covers topics such as communicating with staff, negotiating on behalf of your loved one, asking difficult questions, managing medications, and more.

These online, self-paced courses from the Geriatric Emergency Department Collaborative are designed for anyone who provides emergency care to older people. The Delirium course provides an overview of best practicies in identification, prevention, evaluation, and both non-pharmacological and pharmacological management of older adults in the ED. The Falls and Safe Mobility course describes best practicies for the ED assessment and evaluation of older adults who have fallen, interventions to prevent future falls, and recommendations for post ED care.

This online educational program from the Utah Geriatric Education Consortium is designed to increase knowledge about Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) and improve care of residents with dementia. The training iprogram consists of four modules that, in total, will take 2-3 hours to complete. The topics covered include: an overview of dementia, understanding behaviors and your approach, effective communication within long-term care, and communication and understanding behaviors.
