The ATRA Standards for the Practice of Recreational Therapy & Self-Assessment Guide, published in 2013, consists of 12 standards and the Self-Assessment Guide (SOP/SAG).  The manual was written in a format that provides a comprehensive description of recreational therapy practice, consistent with requirements of accrediting and regulatory agencies and quality recreational therapy practice.

The Measure of Processes of Care (pronounced "em-pock") is a well-validated and reliable self-report measure of parents' perceptions of the extent to which the health services they and their child(ren) receive are family-centred. The original version of MPOC is a 56-item questionnaire; as of 1999 there is a shorter, 20-item version. MPOC has been used internationally in many evaluations of family-centred service.

AITCS: Assessment of Interprofessional Team Collaboration Scale

The Assessment of Interprofessional Team Collaboration Scale (AITCS) is a 37 item inventory with 4 subscales:  partnership, cooperation, coordination, and shared decision making.  Authors concluded it was a valid and reliable instrument. They  found it to load on 3 factors explaining 61.02% of the variance.  Internal consistency reliability for each subscale ranged from 0.80 to 0.97, with an overall reliability of 0.98.

The Healthcare Team Vitality Instrument (HTVI) was developed and revised to assess team collaboration and patient safety, with a specific emphasis on team vitality.  The shorter version was developed to assess the impact of interventions on team vitality.
