This series of six presentations from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine Division of Continuing Medical Education provides healthcare professionals with training to help older adults navigate complex medication decisions. Topics covered include: polypharmacy and deprescribing; kidney function and medication dosing adjustments; balancing risks and benefits when deprescribing high risk medications; deprescribing and alternative treatments to opioids and anti-anxiety medications; Beers criteria update and immunization update; and deprescribing antipsychotics. Continuing education credits are available for physicians and non-physicians.
