Dr. Frost is currently a Consultant with expertise in group facilitation and strategic planning, development of assessment instruments for professional educational, development of leadership and training programs including clinical education preceptors/supervisors, leadership fellowships, professionalism online courses, and Interprofessional education.

After 25 years, she retired as staff at the American Physical Therapy Association serving as the Lead Academic Affairs Specialist and founding Program Director, APTA Education Leadership Institute Fellowship and former Director of Academic Affairs. In that role she coordinated and facilitated initiatives in physical therapist academic/clinical education, professionalism, interprofessional education, and higher education leadership. Additional she was instrumental to the development of Normative Models of Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistant Education, Clinical Instructor Education and Credentialing Programs, Clinical Performance Instruments for PT and PTA students, Clinical Site Information Web, Professionalism in Physical Therapy: Core Values, Self-Assessment, and Patient-Oriented PT Professionalism Questions, Interprofessional Professionalism Collaborative, and Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice.

She currently serves as affiliate faculty in the postprofessional DPT program at the University of Montana and formerly as adjunct faculty at the University of South Florida’s and Marymount University postprofessional DPT programs. Additionally she served as Chair of the Advisory Council for the National Association of the Advisors of the Health Professions (NAAHP) for six years. Dr Frost is a Fellow of the National Academy of Practice, founding member and co-chair of the PT Academy (2014), and will assume the position of President-Elect in March 2017. In 2015, she became a Community Moderator for the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education.

Dr Frost received her bachelors in physical therapy from Ithaca College, masters in counseling and personnel studies from Rowan University, PhD from Temple University, and DPT from Marymount University. She was a tenured faculty member, Director of Clinical Education, and Assistant Chair at Temple University with past experiences as Department Director, Center Coordinator of Clinical Education, and clinical instructor at pediatric and orthopedic/sports medicine facilities. Her national/international presentations and publications focus on assessment, professionalism, interprofessional professionalism, education, leadership, mentoring, teaching, strategic planning, and pediatrics. She has provided expert facilitation on strategic planning and consensus building within the profession and to external organizations and foundations. She was a 1989 recipient of the APTA Mary McMillan Scholarship, 1995 Recipient of the Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award from the New York State Physical Therapy Clinical Education Consortium, 1998 Temple University Hyman Dervitz Lectureship Award, 2014 Education Section President’s Award, and 2015 Luiese Lynch Lecture at OUHSC.  She has been listed in the Who’s Who in Health Professionals, International Who’s Who of Professionals, Who’s Who of American Women, and the Global Directory of Who’s Who of Executives and Professionals.
