ADvancing States represents the nation’s 56 state and territorial agencies on aging and disabilities and long-term services and supports directors. Designed to help strengthen participants' knowledge of the aging and disability networks, the ADvancing States iQ Online Learning Center's online courses provide overviews and analyses of systems and services that impact older adults, people with disabilities, and their caregivers. Dementia Basics for Air Travel Industry Workers

This provides information on an in-person workship for training dementia basics to airport staff. A downloadable presetation in pdf format is provided. Workshop objectives: 1) learn how to enhance airport customer experience and reduce travel disruption for all; 2) learn about symptoms of dementia and how they might manifest during travel; and 3) learn positive ways to interact and problem solve with a traveler with dementia.

Training Resources- DFAWG and Teepa Snow

This is a collection of teaching video clips developed by members of the Dementia-Friendly Airports Working Group and Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care®, filmed in partnership with Charlotte Douglas International Airport.The scenarios portrayed in the clips are situations that are commonly encountered in an airport when travelers are living with dementia and other forms of brain change.
