The Threatening and Violent Dementia Patient
This presentation (1:15:36) given by Dr. Whitney Carlson from Harborview Geriatric Psychiatry Services in Seattle discusses the steps to evaluate patients with dementia who display threatening or violent behavior. She also reviews ways to keep patients and staff safe in the context of evaluating patients displaying threatening or violent behaviors. Finally, she describes how to implement best evidence-based practices in the management of violent and agitated patients with dementia. Rational Preventive Care in the Context of Dementia
This presentation (1:10:20) given by Dr. Amy Thomas, Research Fellow, VA Puget Sound Health Care Systems, discusses the prognoses of different types of dementia. Dr. Thomas identifies the benefit of common primary prevention treatments. Finally, she ends her presentation by discussing the advantages of patient-centered approaches to the care of individuals with dementia. FlourishCare Curriculum: Didactic Modules
As part of this curriculum developed by the University of Louisville Trager Institute and the Republic Bank Foundation Optimal Aging Clinic, learners will complete five online modules designed to teach them the core concepts of geriatric care. Topics to be covered include: roles of the interprofessional team members, motivational interviewing and three case-based modules focusing on the care of an older adult with complicated comorbid chronic conditions in need of community support.
Neuron Model of Interprofessional Education and Evidence-Based Practice
Interprofessional education (IPE) and evidence-based practice (EBP) are relatively new concepts in health professions education in many parts of the world. These critical reforms are implemented with great effort. As clinical practice has become more collaborative and evidence-based, teamwork and research need to be well integrated in the curriculum. However, many stakeholders struggle to visualize the work of IPE and EBP in the context of health professions education and practice.

Evidence of validity for the Norwegian version of the interprofessional collaborative competency attainment survey (ICCAS)
This was a validation study of the Norwegian version of The Interprofessional Collaborative Competency
Attainment Survey (ICCAS). ICCAS consists of 20 retrospective pre- and post-questions, where respondents
rate their agreement with regard to self-assessed competencies after participating in interprofessional
education courses. It has been validated across various settings. The questionnaire was translated
