In this Grand Rounds, faculty from the UCSF Division of Geriatrics discusss four groups of elders who experience health disparities and disproportionately include minority elders: older adults in prisons, homeless older veterans, nursing home veterans with mental illness and dementia, and older adults living with HIV. The focus is on what is being done to help these groups and next steps for social justice and equitable systems to improve the lives of older persons in these groups.
