In this video presentation recorded at the 2015 CHQ Health Care Forum, James Lin, D.O. and Melanie Titzel, Ph.D. from LECOM Health discuss building a successful senior community. Characteristics of successful aging and factors affecting aging in general are introduced. Various living situations (assited living, care units, independent living communities) and the continuum of care are also covered.

The Lake Erie Integrated Geriatrics Health Team (LIGHT) ia a multifaceted group of providers, educators, and community-based organizations committed to promoting excellence in geriatrics education, training, and service provision. The LIGHT Project is made possible by LECOM’s receipt of a $2.2 million Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP) grant.
