The ‘Integrative Wisdom’ series from Integrative Therapeutics is a collection of insights from individuals across the integrative medicine community, who share this common mission: making integrative medicine part of every healthcare discussion. Though we all have different perspectives on how we’ll get there…it’s clear we have a lot to offer one another, and that as a community, we can drive this mission forward and create real change in the world.

These videos are a collection of stories from the integrative medicine community. Individuals share their pearls of wisdom with patients, students and practitioners, to help increase awareness of, and access to, integrative medicine.

The following videos are specifically about working interprofessionally with allopathic providers and the patient role in health:

  • "Reach Out and Work with Conventional Leaders": Dr. Moira Fitzpatrick believes in the integration of natural and conventional treatments. She’s brought this belief to her own practice, where she collaborates with a conventional medical doctor to create a unique plan for each patient.

  • "The Future of Medcine is Already Here": When it comes to modeling an integrative system of healthcare, the future lies in our students. Tabatha Parker speaks on how the landscape of medicine is already being shaped by our students today.

  • "Why an Integrative Approach is Needed to Treat Autism": As a pediatrician, Dr. Liz Mumper has seen the prevalence of autism in children increase at an exponential rate, yet her enthusiasm for her work has only increased as she’s witnessed the effectiveness of integrating naturopathic medicine.

  • "True Healing Takes Commitment from the Patient": Dr. Holly Lucille doesn’t mince words when explaining the importance of investing in your own health. An integrative practitioner provides more than advice, she explains. It’s a partnership that, in time, yields huge results.
