Over the past 12 months, a large group of faculty from the AHC colleges/schools of medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, and public health engaged in deliberate planning efforts to identify and plan intercollegiate primary care education activities and curricular planning. The result of these efforts is a proposal to implement an AHC Intercollegiate Primary Care Education and Resource Center which will initially enable interdisciplinary teaching and learning in the areas of health assessment/physical examination/interpersonal communication, interdisciplinary team care, ethics, and cultural concerns.
