The Geriatric Lecture Series is a collection of video presentations devoted to topics in clinical geriatrics, designed to teach important principles in the care of older adults. Presentations are given by Marianne Smith. By the end of this course, learners should be able to: (1) describe what an Age-Friendly Health Systems (AFHS) is; (2) discuss What Matters and identify ways to use in practice; (3) describe mentation and discuss how it relates to dementia; (4) describe mentation and discuss how it relates to delirium; (5) describe mentation and discuss how it relates to depression; (6) describe mobility and identify screening and interventions used in practice; (7) describe medication and identify screenings and interventions used in practice; and (8) discuss the overlaps between age-friendly and dementia friendly communities. Registration is required to access the material with no charge and this course expires on January 14, 2024.
