The Education to Practice Tool Kit is a comprehensive reference that contains a collection of tools that may be used when implementing an interprofessional initiative in an clinical or educational setting. This Tool Kit is presented in two different formats:

  • Web-based version, with several downloadable “tools” that can be used when integrating team-based learning into classroom and clinical education; items include Case Studies, Facilitation Guides, information on Appreciative Inquiry, Huddle Guides, Icebreakers, and worksheets for Creating a Common Language, among others
  • Long-form, print version that serves as a master document, and theoretical basis for the downloadable Tool Kit items (this is also available for download in the web-based Tool Kit

Core Competencies for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice, the 2011 Interprofessional Education Collaborative Report of an Expert Panel, provides the theoretical foundation for the Tool Kit.

The Education to Practice Tool Kit is free, and open for anyone to access.
