This training program from the Iowa Geriatric Education Center aims to increase the skills and abilities of those who work with older adults with dementia in long-term care settings. The training addresses recognizing unmet activity needs among persons with dementia, applying appropriate activity assessment methods, adjusting care routines to incldude enjoyable activities, and monitoring outcomes related to activity involvement. You can take this training program as an individual, or your facility can offer it in a group setting. The course is free to access after registering an account through Canvas.
