This "Stress First Aid for Long-Term Care" is a self-care and peer support model adapted specifically for long-term care health care personnel. Stress First Aid offers a flexible framework of tools for addressing stress reactions that can hopefully reduce the likelihood that these reactions will develop into more severe or long-term problems. The model was developed in partnership with the University of Rochester Finger Lakes Geriatric Education Center, Ithaca College Gerontology Institute, and the National Center for PTSD. This 1-hour training is free to access after registering an account. After creating an account, use the Course Catalog to find and join the course.
