Agriculture, as a profession, has more mostly “older workers” than any other profession or industry. In addition, the agricultural industry ranks as one of the most hazardous. In 2020, UMASH hosted a series of online community forums, each with a regional focus in the Upper Midwest. The website features video presentations and includes resources to support the health, safety, and wellbeing of farmers and farm communities in the Upper Midwest. Categories include: 1) Succession, transition, and financial planning; 2) caregiving; 3) Aging in Place and Adaptive Design; 4) Physical Health; 5) Stress and Mental Health; 6) Farm Safety; and 7) Other resources and support services.
