2019 NAP Annual Meeting & Forum
The National Academies of Practice 2019 Annual Meeting & Forum will be held March 7-9, 2019 at the Ritz-Carlton in Pentagon City, and we will be coordinating Hill visits to Washington, D.C. This year's title is Interprofessional Collaborative Practice: Advocacy for Population Health. Conference themes will address advocacy for interprofessional collaboration, interprofessional practice models for population health, and person-centered quality healthcare.
The 2019 Annual NAP conference seeks to promote collaboration within clinical, educational, research, and/or policy settings. This year's title is Interprofessional Collaborative Practice: Advocacy for Population Health. Our overall themes this year focus on Advocacy for Interprofessional Collaboration, Interprofessional Practice Models for Population Health, and Person-Centered Quality Healthcare in interprofessional healthcare.
- Advocacy for Interprofessional Collaboration – Strategies, systems and techniques to advocate for interprofessional collaboration at all levels which includes but is not limited to healthcare systems, federal and state government officials, patients/clients, families, caregivers, educators, and researchers. This could be inclusive of social media as well as traditional communication methods.
- Interprofessional Practice Models for Population Health – Foster Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice (IPECP) models to advance best practices and positive population health outcomes related to wellness as well as illness models, prevention, chronic care, addressing common sources of diseases and social determinants of health.
- Person-Centered Quality Healthcare – Evidence related to Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice (IPECP) promoting person-centered quality healthcare including patient access, outcomes, costs-effectiveness, health literacy and educational outcomes.
