I'm a research methodologist by training. Tell me what you want to know, and I can help you design a research study to answer your question using quantitative methods, qualitative.methods, or a combination of the two. I like helping organizations and people in those organizations think critically and creatively about the questions they have and issues they face--to see the bigger picture--and assess their outcomes and impact using a combination of approaches. I also work on my own independent research projects. Before I founded Crocker Institute, I worked as an integrative health care practitioner and educator for many years, and have written a textbook for health professions students and practitioners,Making Sense of Research, on how to critically evaluate research. I continue to work with several national nonprofit organizations in both paid and volunteer capacities. In addition to consulting on research and evaluation, I am a member of the faculty at Saybrook University, and serve as an editor for the journal Global Advances in Health and Medicine.
I am excited about two current projects: 1) ongoing development of the CaseRe3 repository, and 2) creating online courses to promote evidence-informed practice and to develop research capacity, focusing on practice-based research, including case reports and case series.
