My relevant experience has been as a nursing administrator including Director of InterProfessional Education for health sciences, Dean of the WVU School of Nursing, educator, researcher, and advanced practice nurse who works toward improving care for patients with chronic lung disease. Through research and practice, I have mentored healthcare providers to improve patient’s quality of life and provide community-based care through education and research. In my role as founding Director of the WVU HSC Office of Interprofessional Education, and continued role as Professor Emerita in the School of Nursing at West Virginia University in Morgantown, as well as my Interim Role as academic associate dean at the College of Nursing, University of South Carolina (2017-2018), I am committed to supporting and strengthening partnerships among professions, service, education and research. My recent appointment to the Board of Directors for the Campus Community Partnerships for Health (CCPH) has opened another venue to support IPE.
