I am the Dean of the Graduate School and College of Professional Studies, Vice Provost for Learning and Assessment and a Professor of Physical Therapy.   Currently, I serve as the interim director for our Center for Interprofessional Practice, Education and Research (CIPER).   Over my career I have consistently worked collaboratively across disciplinary lines in both clinical and academic settings and led an initiative on our campus to develop a doctoral program in interdisciplinary leadership.   My scholarly work crosses areas from expert practice, clinical reasoning, professional ethics, assessment, to interprofessional education.  I am the current Chair of the American Interprofessional Health Collaborative (AIHC) and member of the Board. My bachelor’s degree in education is from the University of Minnesota,  master’s  in physical therapy and PhD in educational evaluation with a minor in sociology from Stanford University.  I returned to the Midwest over 20 years ago to be part of the founding faculty at Creighton in developing the first clinical doctoral program in physical therapy in the US.  We are all fortunate to have such a rich interdisciplinary network of colleagues which makes all the difference in everything we do from clinical care to education and research.
