Erin Hartnett, DNP, APRN-BC, CPNP is the Program Director for the NYU College of Nursing’s oral health programs: Oral Health Nursing Education and Practice (OHNEP) and Teaching Oral Systemic Health (TOSH). Dr. Hartnett has developed an interprofessional oral health curriculum for undergraduate and graduate nursing students. She is a consultant for many colleges and universities who are developing interprofessional programs.  Dr. Hartnett is involved in promoting oral health in the community as well as nationally and internationally. Dr. Hartnett has been appointed an Adjunct Associate Professor at the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Western Sydney University. Dr. Hartnett is invited to the launch of the National Network for Interdisciplinary Oral Health (NIOH) as part of the Asia Pacific Integrated Care Conference.

Dr. Hartnett is a pediatric nurse practitioner with extensive clinical experience in pediatric and adolescent primary care, and pediatric neuro-oncology. Dr. Hartnett received a BSN from Georgetown University, an MS in Nursing Education from Wagner College, an MSN/PNP from Seton Hall University and most recently, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (2011) from NYU. She has been able to enact many roles as a clinician, educator and researcher. 

Dr. Hartnett is a member of the US National Oral Health Alliance, The National Interprofessional Initiative on Oral Health (NIIOH), National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP), Sigma Theta Tau (National Nursing Honor Society), National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) the DOMH Oral Health Task Force and the Children’s Oncology Group.
