The California Interprofessional Education Research Academy (CA-IPERA) Team was co-founded by Drs. Nassrine Noureddine, Darla Hagge, Debra Brady, and William Ofstad for the purpose of designing, and implementing Interprofessional Education (IPE) and related scholarly work. The effectiveness of the CA-IPERA team lies in the diverse areas of expertise that are contributed by each team member.  Drs. Noureddine and Hagge offer students with hands-on, experiential learning opportunities that also serve the needs of the community through the SAHA Health Center for immigrants and refugee, and the NeuroService Alliance programs for adults with acquired communication disorders.  Dr. Brady is an expert and national trainer in the area of simulation, and Dr. Ofstad is a co-facilitator of the Team-Based Learning Collaborative, a National Consultant-Trainer Program.  Together, the team has served as consultants to train faculty on creating robust and clinically-relevant IPE curriculum at the regional and national levels that exemplifies the highest level of evidenced-based pedagogy, including team-based learning (TBL) and simulation learning.

Drs. Noureddine and Hagge are members of the American Interprofessional Health Collaborative.
