Basia Kielczynska holds a doctorate in medical humanities with specialty in integrative medicine and a master's degree in acupuncture. She divides her professional life between clinical practice, teaching, and research. Dr. Kielczynska is in a faculty acupuncture practice at the Department of Integrative Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, where she also serves as clinical faculty in the fellowship in integrative medicine for physicians and acupuncturists, and conducts research on the practice of acupuncture in inpatient settings. She is a senior clinical and didactic faculty at Tri-State College in Acupuncture in New York. Dr. Kielczynska has a graduate background in physical sciences, worked as an assistant researcher at the Polish Academy of Sciences and adjunct faculty at the Department of Computer Science at CSI CUNY. She is a visiting researcher at the East Medicine Centre at the University of Westminster in London and a consultant in integrative care for medical institutions.
