Dr Morton is the Chair of the Department of Nursing at UNE. Additionally, she is project director for the HRSA funded CHANNELS project (NEPQR/IPCP) which aims to improve immigrant and refugee health through innovations in team based care. Portland, Maine is the setting for this project which is a resettlement area for over 13,000 new Mainers. CHANNELS employs community health outreach workers to provide targeted navigation and medical interpetation as valued members of the health care team.
Dr Morton is also faculty in the Center of Excellence for Interprofessional Edcuation (CEIPE) at UNE.
