Vernon Curran is Professor of Medical Education, Director of Academic Research and Development and Past-Director of the Centre for Collaborative Health Professional Education with the Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University.  He also holds a cross-appointment with the Faculty of Education at Memorial University and teaches in the undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Adult Education and Post-Secondary Studies.  He is currently chair of the Certificate program in Medical Teaching offered through the Faculty of Medicine.  Vernon holds degrees in psychology, adult education, distributed learning and extension studies and specializes in research in the areas of medical and health professionals education, continuing professional education, tele-education and interprofessional education in the health professions.  He teaches in the areas of adult learning and development, teaching and learning in medical education, organization and administration of adult education, adult education methods, and interprofessional education in the health professions.
