The National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care
Consumer Voice is the leading national voice representing consumers in issues related to long-term care, helping to ensure consumers are empowered to advocate for themselves. They are a primary source of information and tools for consumers, families, caregivers, advocates, and Ombudsmen to help ensure quality care for the individual. They maintain the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Resource Center, funded by ACL. The section for “new ombudsmen” is a rich resource for learning about the history, law, funding streams, key organizations, and best practices.
The National Long-Term Ombudsman Resource Center
The National Long-Term Care Ombudsman Resource Center (NORC) provides support, technical assistance, and training to the 53 State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Programs and their statewide networks. NORC’s objectives are to enhance the skills, knowledge, and management capacity of the State programs to enable them to effectively represent resident interests in both individual and systems advocacy.

Sexual Violence in Later Life Information Packet
Sexual violence can affect individuals across the life span, including people in later life. NSVRC has created a series of new resources related to sexual violence in later life. The Sexual Violence in Later Life Information Packet was developed by Holly Ramsey-Klawsnik, Phd, in conjunction with the National Sexual Violence Resource Center. The packet includes the following: fact sheet, technical assistance bulletin, technical assistance guide, resource list, annotated bibliography, research brief, and an online collection.
