By the end of the presentation, learners should be able to: (1) list modifiable lifestyle practices that impact brain health; (2) explain how modifiable lifestyle factors such as diet and exercise can produce overlapping effects; and (3) discuss how to "customize" a health-promoting lifestyle that is sustainable and fits the unique biological and socio-cultural situations of the patients.

This webinar (1:57:30 minutes) consists an interprofessional panel of experts including a geriatrician, psychologist, cultural expert, physical therapist, geriatric pharmacist, and a lawyer. They address questions and concerns related to living with dementia, dementia care, and the key issues that often come up. Some topics discussed includes medications that cure and treat dementia, how to react to a person with dementia's false stories, how to have other caregivers step in without having one person initiating it, and diminished capacity dementia with the law.

There are three presentations included in this webinar. Phil Echevarria discusses BRFSS's impact on New Jersey and the caregiving data and how it has influenced policy change in New Jersey. Jana Pastir discusses how North Dakota has used the Subjective Cognitive Decline caregiver modules to enhance other chronic disease programs.
