This is an online learning module created by the Native American Elder Justice Initiative. The materials presented in the elder justice curriculum are designed to help those working with Native American elderly to understand the various types of elder abuse and become more knowledgeable about elder abuse issues. The materials will assist staff in responding appropriately to Indigenous victims of crimes and their families and enhance provision of culturally sensitive services.

This module is on elder abuse for social services professionals in Indian Country. The module provides information on resources available through Title VI and long-term services and supports programs; risk factors for elder abuse, neglect and exploitation; and participating in elder protection or multidisciplinary teams. Professionals who may find this module informative may include: social workers, Title VI directors, case managers, and community health representatives.

-Understanding how the Title VI Program may be utilized to improve elder services
-Identifying potential risk-factors for elder abuse and neglect and how to report suspected abuse
