This learning module's goal is to educate providers and clinical staff regarding the components, documentation, and benefits in providing Medicare Annual Wellness Visits to all eligible patients. By the end of this module, learners should be able to: (1) differentiate between the Medicare Annual Wellness Visit and the concept of an 'annual physical'; (2) list benefits to the patient for participation in the Medicare Annual Wellness Visit and how to manage patient expectations for the visit; (3) list benefits to clinical practice for maintaining a high participation percentage within the Medicare Beneficiary population; and (4) identify common documentation errors that can result in payment denials for Medicare. This learning module includes a pre-test, reading content, post-test, activity-specific evaluation, and an activity evaluation. Registration is required by the creators to access the material but there is no charge. This module expires on February 09, 2023.
