Feinberg covers four main points throughout her presentation: (1) serious illness and chronic disability affect the family as well as the individual; (2) family caregiving today is more complicated, costly, stressful, and demanding than any time in human history; (3) the care gap in the U.S.; (4) need to treat family caregiving with a new urgency and make it a national priority.
