Partnerships to Improve Care and Quality of Life for Persons with Dementia is a 12-part online training series on staff-family partnerships to improve dementia care. This provider-focused training, which complements the IGEC’s family caregiver-focused training, is available through the Csomay Center for Geronotological Excellence at the University of Iowa. It uses Family Involvement in Care principles to enhance partnership-building between family and staff, as well as focus on helping providers “know the person” with dementia and provide person-centered care in the context of changing needs. (Each module includes a video, Powerpoint slides that follow the module, and a downloadable handout).
