This presentation (33:16 minutes) given by Karen Watchman discusses how to communicate with peers about a fellow resident who has dementia. By the end of this presentation, learners should be able to: (1) recognize the importance of talking about dementia, including sharing a diagnosis; and (2) understand the role that people with ID can play in supporting a peer with dementia.
