This webinar (1:13:08 minutes) discusses health inequities and cultural adaptations for African American and Latino caregivers of people with dementia. This webinar includes three different presentations. Jason Resendez discusses how to turn research into practice to support public health agencies in the delivery and development of culturally tailored dementia caregiving programming. He specifically discusses the UsAgainstAlzheimer's Center for Brain Health Equity organization which drives to collaborate to develop and disseminate culturally tailored brain health strategies targeting Black and Latino communities. Fayron Epps discusses ALTER, which is a dementia friendly faith congregation programs that are done in partnerships with African American churches. Lastly, Judith Susan Rocha discusses La Brocha, a project offering art workshops to Latina and Latino elders and individuals with memory loss, dementia, or Parkinson's disease.
