By the end of this lecture, learners will be able to: (1) understand the challenges of diabetes management; (2) review the impact of hypoglycemia and strategies to avoid it; (3) review glycemic goals and individualized approach to health status and co-morbidities; and (4) provide an update of pharmacological treatment including improving cardiovascular outcomes.
