This presentation (34:30 minutes) given by Abby Beumer is part of a mini-conference which discusses challenges associated with dementia diagnosis. By the end of this presentation, learners should be able to: (1) describe typical age related memory, thinking or behavior changes; (2) recognize common warning signs of Alzheimer's and dementia; (3) discuss the tips for approaching someone about memory concerns; (4) explain the importance of early detection and benefits of diagnosis; (5) identify possible tests and assessments for the diagnostic process; and (6) name the resources available through the Alzheimer's Association.
