Hi All:

Wondering if anyone has run into this one, and if so, can you provide some perspective/support?

We provide monthly interdisciplinary trainings to our BHWET students and are able to do so through contracting with local experts (FNPs/RNs, Licensed Psychologists, Clinical Dietician/Wellness Coach, Case Managers, Licensed Professional Counselors). Most often, these are practitioners fromour community, but recently 2 trainers were affiliated with our University Counseling Center (Psychologist and Case Manager).

Payments to the individuals outside of the university have not been an issue, but even though marginal ($100),  payments to these university employees are being delayed due to then representing an amount exceeding 100% of their base salary. These folks are not affilated with the grant (PI or Co-I) and the nature of their appointments are outside the scope of our program/trainings.

Any thoughts?

Hello Stephen,

I hope you are doing well.

Since they are an employee at the same University and you cannot do a Purchase Order, you would have modify their EPar and put them on for a “task”. Our paperwork has to be approved all the way to the President of the University. Our Center for Play Therapy does it all the time with our faculty to conduct one time trainings or workshops. I hope this information helps, if you want to discuss more please let me know.
