Short Biography  9-15-2015

Sharon K. Dingman, DNP, MS, BSN, RN has more than 30 years of professional nursing practice from staff nurse to nurse executive, consultant, and educator.  She was the Vice President of Patient Care/Chief Nursing Officer of Presbyterian Hospital, Texas Health Recourses for seven years.  She is currently serving on the board of several professional nursing organizations and is as a member of the Nursing Education Peer Committee of the Utah Board of Nursing.

 Dr. Dingman is currently an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Nursing Program for Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMUoHP) where she teaches leadership and theory courses. Her academic interests include interprofessional practice education (IPPE) at the graduate level, collaboration and communication among health care disciplines, and leadership at the point of care in delivery of services to the patient and family.  Dr. Dingman served as the Chair of the IPPE Task Force at RMUoHP 2015-2016. 

Dr. Dingman is the Founder, President, and Senior Consultant of The Caring Model® (TCM) LLC.  She is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in nurse caring and compassion associated with patient-family-nurse satisfaction.   Dr. Dingman applies her vast nursing executive and clinical leadership experience to assist health care organizations improve patient-centered care experiences to meet patient satisfaction goals associated with value-based care outcomes.
