As the Compliance Manager for Bloom Marketing Group, I have been intimately involved in our partner's implementation of health care coverage under the Affordable Care Act.  A critical part of my responsibilities these last several months has been in understanding the new health care landscape and communicating those details to our partners and to our staff, who in turn are educating the public about coverage options, essential health benefits, subsidies, and the process for obtaining creditable coverage in the new health insurance marketplace.

Prior to this role with Bloom, I was the Director for the Indiana State Board of Nursing.  Part of my responsibility in that position involved coordinating the Board's accreditation process for nurse education in the State of Indiana.  Representing Indiana's regulatory perspective as it pertained to the practice of nursing, I was involved in local and national discussion on the improvement of nurse education and became very interested in the focus on integrating interdisciplinary health practitioner education into nurse education.
