Dr. Richard Valachovic is the President and CEO of the American Dental Education Association and President of the Interprofessional Education Collaborative. He is the Founding General Secretary of the International Federation of Dental Educators and Associations. Prior to joining ADEA, he served on the faculty of the dental schools at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and the University of Connecticut. He completed residency training programs in pediatric dentistry (Children’s Hospital-Boston), dental public health (Harvard University) and oral and maxillofacial radiology (University of Connecticut). He earned his B.S. from St. Lawrence University; his D.M.D from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine; and the Masters in Public Health degree and the Master of Science degree in health policy and management from the Harvard School of Public Health.
