Razaq changed career into nursing in 2011 when he enrolled for the Master of Nursing program at the University of Minnesota. After a 14-year teaching career that has taken him through high school and college classrooms in two countries, nursing provided a fresh and interesting challenge. Teaching and Nursing have several characteristics in common, hence the career switch has been really smooth with Razaq bringing a lot of valuable experience into nursing. Four years of experience as a caregiver in various long term care, memory care and geriatric home care services stimulated Razaq's interest in nursing and laid a foundation for a high-flying career. Razaq joined Golden Living as a Registered Nurse in March 2013, became a nursing supervisor in June 2013 and a Director of Nursing in July 2014.  Razaq is currently enrolled at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing for his Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Health Innovation and Leadership. Razaq is daily bringing his reading and research to bear on quality of care delivery as well as human and material resources management in his long term care facility.
