I was the Project Director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, Bureau of Health Professions, Division of Nursing (HRSA) funded project Enhancing the Care of Women Throughout the Lifespan using Technology in Interprofessional Education. In my role as Project Director I have been responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating interprofessional educational strategies for nurse-midwifery and third year medical students and dental medicine residents who participate together in a web-based learning environment.  My research and scholarly interests are in the use of technology in interprofessional education and strategies to enhance interprofessional learning in distance education programs.
